Bygone is my debut solo effort—though it was hardly accomplished alone. Well over a dozen friends and collaborators put in an obscene amount of time and effort to bring this project to life, after multi-year delays owing to severe health concerns and their associated recovery. It was recorded mostly in 2017-18.
The music and lyrics were composed as long ago as 2006, and as such, reflect a lot of experiences (or interpretations of them) that, as the title states, belong to a bygone era. While I am creatively proud of all that is heard here, it shouldn't be taken as a representation of who I am today (or was in 2018). It is a historical document of merely a few steps in my development as a musician, and more importantly, as a person.
